Supervise maintenance work that involves physical labor to include various trucks and equipment in areas assigned. Duties are fairly specific and checked frequently by coordinator. Duties are well defined in the performance. Lead by example and supervise the Grounds Department of multiple personnel. Provide a safe and positive working atmosphere at all times. Must be able to make corrective measures and feedback. Supervise activities associated with administering and performing repairs and maintenance on all equipment. Collect and ensure monthly inspections , cleaning, fueling, daily mileage log and fuel logs, work orders are completed in a timely manner. Inspect vehicles, trailers, equipment for safety issues. To include wear and tear on all uniforms. Deliver materials and equipment as needed to other sites and departments. Participates in appropriate in-service training. Example of equipment and tools used. Dump truck and or pickup truck, zero turn mower, push mower, weed-eater, blower, edger, chain saw, shovels, rakes, post hole diggers, general hand tools, small farm tractors, bush hog, box blade and backhoe. May be subject to be on call standby for storms and other emergencies. Temporary assignments to various work crews to perform non-routine tasks. Work is performed outside in various weather conditions. Physical effort is exerted regularly and involves a considerable amount of standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling. Perform all duties as assigned.
