POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a plumber to be responsible for maintaining plumbing systems in the athletic facilities, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures. Responsibilities include diagnosing plumbing issues and determining the appropriate repair solution; installs, maintains, and repairs plumbing systems; ensuring all work complies with local plumbing codes and safety regulations; and performing routine maintenance and inspections to prevent system failures.
This position requires the incumbent to have quality workmanship; maintain clean and functional tools, equipment, and workspaces; troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently; have strong communication, customer service, and time management skills; be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated; work independently and as part of a collaborative team; engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds; and work a non-standard work week which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability.

- High School Diploma or GED*
- Two years of professional plumbing experience*
- Locally Registered Plumbing Contractor license
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledgeable of plumbing systems, tools, and materials
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Plumbing Contractor
- Four years of professional plumbing experience
- Attendance of a trade school or completion of a plumbing apprenticeship
