Position Summary

The bilingual Warehouse Supervisor Assistant supports the Warehouse Supervisor in coordinating daily warehouse operations to ensure productivity, accuracy, safety, and timely order fulfillment. This role assists with inventory control, staff oversight, shipping and receiving activities, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with daily warehouse operations and workflow management.
  • Help coordinate and monitor receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping activities.
  • Move materials and products throughout the warehouse using proper lifting techniques.
  • Support inventory control processes, including cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor warehouse organization and housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure employees follow company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Assist with training and onboarding new warehouse team members.
  • Communicate with Inventory, Purchasing, Sales, and Dispatch departments regarding order status and inventory needs.
  • Report damaged products, inventory discrepancies, or safety concerns to management.
  • Help resolve operational issues and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse records and documentation.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely, when authorized.
  • Assist in supervising warehouse staff during the Supervisor's absence.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and operational procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) required.
  • Previous leadership, lead, or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to become certified preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, twist, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with heavier items moved using mechanical equipment or team lifting procedures.
  • Ability to climb on and off forklifts and access storage racks, trailers, and loading docks safely.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, dust, noise levels, and changing weather conditions when working in outdoor loading areas.
  • Ability to maintain sufficient visual acuity, with or without reasonable accommodation, to safely operate warehouse equipment, read labels and shipping documents, judge distances and clearances, identify hazards, and navigate warehouse aisles, loading docks, and pedestrian traffic areas.
  • Ability to maintain sufficient hearing ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to communicate effectively with coworkers, hear warning signals, backup alarms, horns, and other auditory cues necessary for safe warehouse operations.
  • Ability to maintain awareness of surroundings and perform work safely in areas with moving equipment, vehicle traffic, and elevated storage locations.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and remain alert and focused throughout the shift
