Someone who has good people skills, learns quickly, has some help desk experience, good problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude.

What is a typical day like in this position?

In this fast-paced and rewarding environment, you might arrive in the morning to an employee who is able to work on their laptop but their docking station and monitors are reportedly not working, a senior-level director meeting in a conference room where the audio is not working, and a department head who has reported that their laptop may have been hacked and will need a laptop in the afternoon for a meeting with a donor. It will be your responsibility to work with teammates to identify what you should handle, identify potential solutions, and stay in communication with the affected users and the IT team.

The afternoon might bring an employee who says they need their laptop reimaged because it's bluescreening. Diagnostics would need to be performed to determine whether it is a hardware issue or possible file corruption. A new computer needs to be reimaged and deployed for a new employee starting in a few days and a pallet of monitors that were dropped off at the wrong location that need to be picked up with the state car. The ability to prioritize and switch between tasks and projects is essential in this role.
