JOB SUMMARY:

The primary function of the Senior VDC Manager is to oversee the integration of Virtual Design and Construction technologies to optimize project delivery and foster collaboration across all stakeholders, ensuring the successful efficient execution of projects through their lifecycle. The Senior VDC Manager, serves as strategic leader for the project team, ensuring that VDC processes are continuously utilized to meet Universal Standards and expectations. The Senior VDC Manager acts as the liaison between the project team, design, construction, and other stakeholders, ensuring all VDC processes properly are effectively utilized to meet Universal Standards and expectations, while also ensuring effective coordination, collaboration, and delivery of a high-quality, on-time, and on-budget project.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Development: Lead and oversee the implementation of VDC processes and standards. This includes managing access to the VDC database to ensure that all design and construction activities align with project goals and objectives.
Technical Expertise: Serve as the lead point of contact regarding Universal Creatives VDC standards and processes for the project team, ensuring that the project outcomes reflect the vision, goals, and requirements of Universal Creative.
Collaboration & Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate and optimize VDC tools into project workflows, facilitate coordination, and resolve conflicts early in the design and construction phases.
Training & Support: Spearhead training initiatives for project teams and stakeholders on VDC tools and technologies, ensuring successful adoption and application throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Mitigation and Reporting: Proactively identify and report risks related to design and construction phases, leveraging VDC tools such as clash detection to analyze potential issues and partner with project teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
Quality Control: Ensure that all VDC deliverables, such as models, drawings, and simulations, meet the required standards, are thoroughly validated and are consistent, accurate and reliable.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Bachelors degree in architecture, construction management, or any construction-related field required.
Masters degree in architecture or related field is preferred.
Registered architect or engineer would be a plus.
Certification in VDC (e.g., VDC Professional, BIM Manager Certification), BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) or construction management is highly preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Proficient in the use of Autodesks Revit and Autodesk Navisworks.
Solid understanding of Autodesk Construction Cloud as a collaborative tool for project coordination and management
At least 10 years of experience in Building Information Management (BIM), Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) or related field required. A minimum of 5years in a BIM/VDC leadership or managerial role.
Proven expertise in managing VDC processes, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3D modeling, clash detection, across a range of project types (e.g., commercial, theme park, industrial, infrastructure).
A minimum of 5 years of experience in themed entertainment projects is required.
