HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Job Summary:
  • Provides leadership and administrative support to Patient Transportation (department 7047), Centralized Telemetry Surv Ctr (department 7030), and Central Staffing Office (within Nursing Operations (department 6016)) of the Clinical Operations Division.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of diversity. Demonstrates integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence (I CARE values).
  • Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues, visitors, and patients. Communicates daily with internal and external entities.
  • Oversees, mentors, and supports department supervisors.
  • Identifies improvement opportunities for productivity and staffing.
  • Ensures the departments maintain productivity.
  • Ensures departments' regulatory compliance.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties.

Reports To: Exec Dir/Clinical Ops (job code (JC): 100201)

Supervises: Manager/Patient Transportation (JC: 120701), Supervisor/Telemetry (JC: 060716), and Staffing Coordinator/Nursing (JC: 064006)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:
  • Associate (or equivalent) degree in nursing from a program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Successful completion of a cardiac arrhythmia interpretation program.

Preferred Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in health care management.

Required Experience:
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience, including two (2) years of patient flow experience and three (3) years of nursing leadership experience.

Preferred Experience:
  • Four (4) years of managerial experience. Personal computer (PC) experience. Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong organizational skills. Clear and concise communication skills. Skilled in performing monitor technician duties. Customer service skills. Computer proficiency. Ability to operate basic office equipment.

Required Certification/License/Registry:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) recognized provider. Passed in-depth arrhythmia-specific test using caliper measurements and evaluation of rhythm changes over time using full disclosure.
