The Resident Care Director provides leadership, clinical oversight, resident-care coordination, and regulatory support for Assisted Living and Memory Care services in accordance with applicable regulations and Allegro Living standards. This role supports resident assessments, service planning, medication management, care-team supervision, quality assurance, risk management, staff education, and communication with residents, families, physicians, pharmacies, and outside providers.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead resident care services within Assisted Living and Memory Care.
- Conduct or supervise resident assessments, reassessments, service plans, and care plan reviews.
- Monitor resident wellness, identify changes in condition, and coordinate timely interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacies, hospice, therapy providers, home health agencies, residents, and families to support coordinated care.
- Oversee medication management systems, documentation, MAR/TAR audits, medication variance follow-up, and corrective action.
- Maintain survey readiness and compliance with applicable state regulations, Allegro Living policies, and resident rights requirements.
- Conduct or support investigations related to incidents, accidents, concerns, and allegations; develop follow-up interventions and corrective action plans as needed.
- Recruit, coach, schedule, support, and develop resident care team members while promoting accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.
- Provide and reinforce staff training related to resident care, service planning, ADLs, documentation, regulatory requirements, and medication administration, as applicable.
- Partner with community leadership, Sales and Marketing, and other departments to support resident retention, occupancy growth, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including audits, pharmacy review, infection prevention, risk management, and review of resident-care trends.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Active, unrestricted nursing license in the state of employment required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, or a related healthcare setting preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading clinical teams and supporting regulatory compliance.
- Experience with state surveys, quality improvement initiatives, resident assessments, care planning, and risk management preferred.
- General understanding of and concern for the needs of seniors.
- Experience supporting residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairment preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well with others and promote a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional composure under stressful or challenging conditions.
- Must be at least 18 years of age. State-specific guidelines may apply.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with Company requirements, when driving responsibilities are assigned.
