Responsibilities
  • Responsible for assisting and recommending the development of policies and procedures to effectively administer a Building Services Quality Control Program. Reviews Building Services Frequencies and Procedures to ensure each room type is assigned the appropriate level of custodial care. Collaborates with the Assistant Director to address the needs of each area and ensure that cleaning schedules are provided to the University campus with proper timelines. Develops checklists for field surveys and administer reviews of reports, studies, specifications, and surveys to make recommendations related to program improvements, project assignments, inspection results, and employee performance to the Assistant Director. Plays a key role in long- and short-term planning for the department.
  • Oversee the daily operations and scheduling of all quality control inspections. Performs regular field surveys of campus building conditions and determines if services provided meet established quality standards. Ensure all assigned buildings meet and/or exceed appearance, cleanliness, and safety standards. Confirms FSU employees are utilizing appropriate methods, equipment, and chemicals as per established processes and procedures. Communicates with vendors, consultants, department heads, and building liaison representatives to ensure that cleaning services are being performed at an acceptable level. Supervises Quality Control Associate.
  • Ensures documentation is accurately recorded and collected. Submits work orders to escalates preventive maintenance, broken, defective, or safety concerns for maintenance and repairs. Makes recommendations to the Assistant Director to improve campus buildings, working with all levels of campus personnel concerning requirements of each department.
  • In collaboration with the supervisor, manages the data within the quality control program. Utilizes facilities software to draft and review inspection reports for completeness and accuracy. Analyzes the inspections to determine the root cause of deficiencies and shares insights and training with the Custodial Operations Team. Performs other duties as assigned within the department. Operates University vehicles as needed to complete assigned work.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and experience equal to six years or a or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.
  • A valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain one upon hire.

Considerations

This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check .

The work schedule is from 5am to 1:30pm with a 30-minute break.
