Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of People & Culture, the People & Culture Specialist provides day-to-day operational support across Turner Pest Control's Florida locations. This position coordinates recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll inputs, HRIS data, and compliance tracking, and serves as a first point of contact for employee questions. The Specialist supports a workplace culture consistent with the Company's values and its commitment to One Team, One Goal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruitment Support: Posts open positions, screens applicants, schedules interviews, coordinates background checks and drug screens, and prepares offer letters under the direction of the Director.
- Onboarding and Offboarding: Coordinates new hire paperwork, Form I-9 and E-Verify, new hire orientation, and system setup; processes separations, including exit documentation and final paperwork.
- Benefits Administration: Serves as a liaison for benefits enrollments, qualifying life events, and coverage changes; responds to employee benefits questions; assists with carrier invoice reconciliation.
- Payroll Support: Collects and reviews weekly payroll/commission inputs, audits timecards for accuracy, and flags discrepancies to managers and payroll for resolution. Provides payroll training as needed.
- HRIS and Records: Enters and maintains accurate employee data in Workday and ADP, maintains confidential personnel files, and runs standard reports as requested.
- Employee Support: Serves as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, pay, and benefits; documents employee concerns and escalates employee relations matters to the Director.
- Corrective Action Support: Assists in preparing and filing corrective action and performance documentation in accordance with Company policy.
- Compliance Tracking: Tracks required training completion and required workplace postings; assists with internal audits.
- Training and Engagement Coordination: Schedules training sessions, tracks attendance and completion, and assists with engagement and recognition initiatives.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience (Required)
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- One (1) to two (2) years of human resources or administrative experience, preferably supporting recruiting, onboarding, benefits, or payroll
- Experience with Workday, ADP, or comparable HRIS and payroll systems
- Experience with high-volume recruitment and onboarding in a multi-site or field-based organization
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish)
- Foundational knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and applicable employment laws
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of discretion
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective time management with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
- Willingness to support all People & Culture functions and other departments as needed
- Work is performed primarily in an office setting.
- Requires prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
- Requires occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Occasional travel to Company branch locations may be required.
