Position Summary:
Community Rehabilitation Center, Inc. (CRC) is seeking a reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious Part-Time Driver to provide safe and dependable transportation for individuals receiving behavioral health and community-based services.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate professionalism, patience, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to client safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport clients to and from CRC programs, appointments, and designated locations.
- Follow assigned transportation routes and scheduled pickup and drop-off times.
- Assist clients with safely entering and exiting vehicles as needed.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs, mileage records, and required documentation.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean, sanitary, and in good operating condition.
- Report vehicle maintenance concerns, accidents, incidents, and transportation delays promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws, transportation safety regulations, and CRC policies.
- Communicate effectively with the Transportation Coordinator and other staff.
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
- Complete required safety and transportation training.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Florida driver's license.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Must successfully complete and maintain eligibility under Level 2 Background Screening requirements in accordance with applicable Florida law.
- Previous passenger transportation or professional driving experience preferred.
- Experience transporting individuals receiving behavioral health or community-based services preferred.
- Ability to safely operate passenger vans and assigned agency vehicles.
- Ability to use GPS navigation and transportation scheduling applications.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to assist passengers safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Additional Requirements:
- Must comply with CRC transportation policies and procedures.
- Must meet applicable Medicaid transportation provider requirements.
- Must complete required employee training and maintain driver eligibility.
- Must demonstrate respect, patience, and professionalism when interacting with clients.
