Responsibilities
Job Summary: Reporting to the Manager of University & Presidential Events, the Event Coordinator for the Office of University Relations will coordinate multiple university-wide and executive-level events in partnership with the Office of the President, the Office of the Provost, and Office of the Vice President for Research. The Event Management professional researches, designs, and delivers university events that advance strategic engagement goals. This role partners across campus to plan and execute events from concept through on-site delivery, ensuring strong experiences, cost-effective operations, and complete post-event closeout.

Bachelor's degree and two years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.

This role partners across campus to plan and execute events from concept through on-site delivery, ensuring strong experiences, cost-effective operations, and complete post-event closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and benchmark peer-institution events; propose new events and refine existing programs.
- Plan assigned and proposed events, coordinating timelines, stakeholders, and logistics from intake through execution.
- Build and maintain partnerships with relevant campus units and external vendors; complete required vendor activities and documentation.
- Develop and manage cost-efficient event budgets; assign and track appropriate resources.
- Draft and distribute briefing memos and related materials for executive leadership.
- Manage event registration systems and attendee communications.
- Develop event collateral and supporting materials.
- Provide on-site event management and day-of coordination to ensure successful delivery.
- Complete all financial and operational close-outs and document outcomes.
- Lead post-event continuous improvement reviews to capture lessons learned and implement enhancements.
- Represent the Office of University Relations on university workgroups and teams.
- Assign and coordinate event-related duties for undergraduate and graduate student interns; support broader University Relations operations as needed.
- Support large-scale signature events, including football gameday operations, assigned basketball and baseball games, and university commencement exercises; perform other duties as assigned.
