Summary Objective

The Electrical Detailer plays a pivotal role in the meticulous design process, focusing on creating detailed shop drawings for electricians to facilitate the precise installation of electrical components, including, but not limited to; electrical equipment, cable, cable tray, conduit, receptacles, lights, switches, etc. This position involves close collaboration with Electrical Designers and Electrical Engineers to ensure seamless integration of designs and adherence to project specifications at the Manufacturing Facility.

Essential Functions
  • Collaborate closely with Electrical Designers to receive detailed project design instructions and direction.
  • Coordinate with other discipline designers to integrate designs and avoid interferences in the shop.
  • Develop comprehensive shop drawings depicting electrical systems installation, scaled plan sheets, installation details, conduit runs, wiring details, and 3D models.
  • Review system specifications, verify design dimensions in the field, and generate bills of materials.
  • Execute tasks in strict accordance with company procedures, specifications, standards, and project-specific requirements.
  • Participate actively in project teams and contribute to the development of modular plants.
  • Prepare design drawing packages to facilitate seamless procurement, fabrication, installation, and construction processes.
  • Maintain effective communication with designers, drafters, and production personnel across various design disciplines.
  • Ensure timely completion of highly detailed design deliverables.

Work Location

This position will work out of our Main Office in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.

Work EnvironmentMost Work is performed at a manufacturing facility, regular use of Personal Protective Equipment, such as safety glasses, steel toe boots, and mandatory head protection is necessary. Often trips to headquarters may be necessary for coordination and collaboration.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime effort may be requested to meet project specific deadlines.

TravelAnticipated 10% travel for this position with some overnight stays. Some occasional local day travel may also be necessary.

Required Education and Experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and components used in industrial settings.
  • Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD or Plant 3D) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
