Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain demand, supply, and financial forecasts across product lines and customer channels
- Analyze historical sales, market trends, promotional activity, and regulatory impacts to improve forecast accuracy
- Translate demand forecasts into production and replenishment plans
- Balance inventory levels, service targets, manufacturing capacity, and supplier constraints
- Monitor inventory health, including excess, obsolete, and at-risk inventory
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles (S&OP / IBP processes)
- Prepare regular planning and performance reports, dashboards, and executive summaries including volume, revenue, and inventory KPIs
- Identify risks and opportunities related to demand variability, capacity constraints, and inventory levels
- Conduct ad hoc analysis to support pricing, product lifecycle, and market strategy decisions
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, and Compliance teams to align plans and assumptions
- Support new product introductions, SKU rationalization, and market changes
- Communicate forecast changes and planning insights clearly to stakeholders
- Ensure planning activities account for regulatory requirements, excise taxes, and reporting obligations
- Assist with tracking and planning around federal, state, and local tax rate changes
- Support internal and external audits through accurate data preparation and documentation
- Contribute to forecast accuracy improvement initiatives and planning process enhancements
- Support system upgrades, reporting automation, and planning tool optimization
- Document standard operating procedures and best practices
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, Analytics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in planning, forecasting, supply chain, finance, or analytical roles
- Experience in a regulated, consumer packaged goods (CPG), manufacturing, or tobacco-related industry preferred
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience with planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, APO, or similar) and Data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau) preferred
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
