As the Lead Medical Assistant, you will be a part of the Clinical Care Team and engage our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The Lead Medical Assistant makes a difference in people's lives, administers prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill, injured, convalescent, and disabled persons under direction of a Physician.

Job Functions

  • Lead other Medical Assistant and keep them up to date on information and procedures

  • Assist multiple providers

  • Prepares exam room, equipment and supplies needed prior/during patient examination

  • Prepares patient for consultation, taking/documenting vital signs (temp, BP, HR, RR) etc.

  • Draws blood, collects specimens, and administers injections

Required Qualifications

  • 2 – 4 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care

  • 1 – 5 years of leadership experience

  • An active Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or Registered Medical Assistant/RMA certification from one of the following organizations: AAMA, AMT, ARMA, MedCa, NAHP, NAHT, NCCT, or NHA

  • Current CPR certification

  • Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records

  • Experience with HEDIS

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM

Additional Information

This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.

Interview Format: MODERN HIRE

If you are selected to move forward from your application prescreen, you will receive correspondence inviting you to participate in a pre-recorded Voice Interview and/or an SMS Text Messaging interview. If participating in a pre-recorded interview, you will respond to a set of interview questions via your phone. You should anticipate this interview to take approximately 10-15 minutes.

If participating in a SMS Text interview, you will be asked a series of questions to which you will be using your cell phone or computer to answer the questions provided. Expect this type of interview to last anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed, and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.
