Insurance Product Analyst

We are seeking a Product Analyst with P&C industry expertise to assist with product analytics for our Homeowners and Dwelling LOBs. The Product Analyst will work with product managers, actuaries, and compliance on product development and implementation for new markets and product performance management in existing markets.

Responsibilities:

• Under direction of Insurance Product Manager, assist in development of new homeowners and dwelling insurance products.
• Contribute to product implementation efforts, including business requirements creation and testing.
• Work closely with actuarial, underwriting and sales/marketing to develop product design and pricing strategies.

• Monitor and analyze business performance and KPIs (loss ratio, frequency, severity, new business production, hit ratio, retention, quality of business distributions, etc.) to understand and react to trends.
• Identify opportunities to enhance product offerings and segmentation.
• Collaborate with other departments to answer any product questions related to rates, product features and underwriting guidelines.
• Support rate, rule, and form filings.
• Develop analytical tools to help the business effectively manage existing portfolios.

Requirements: 

• 2 or more years of experience as a Product/Actuarial analyst in the insurance business
• 1 or more years of experience working with Homeowners LOB preferred
• Completed actuarial exams or other insurance coursework (i.e., CPCU) preferred
• Proficiency in SQL and working with large datasets
• Strong analytical skills and passion for statistical analysis / quantitative decision making
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
