Job SummaryBenefits Administration provides support and services for employer groups, brokers and regional offices for processes related to research and billing
This position has direct reports and is responsible for the day to day operations and workflow within the Benefits Administration department. This position ensures a positive relationship between employees, employer groups, brokers and customers and reports to the Benefits Admin Team Leader.
Ideal candidates will have a proven history of Leadership, strong Excel skills and the ability to manage a highly productive team while handling any day to day escalations from agents and clients.
Key Responsibilities Oversees the daily operations to ensure team functions are performing successfully
Observes the performance of team members and conducts quality review; determines measurements for key Performance Indicators
Performs checkpoint and performance documents
Daily review of checks issued by team members for accuracy and communication for approval/denial
Daily tracking and reporting for performance; identifying outstanding and aged items for resolution
Makes recommendations for process improvements and cost saving opportunities
Determines appropriate issues to escalate to senior management
Continuously builds skills and knowledge by receiving coaching and feedback and participate in ongoing training
4 year degree or equivalent experience in office environment; preferably insurance
Demonstrate competency in leadership functions
Strategic thinker, who creates and executes process improvements,
Ability to develop team members
Allstate Benefits experience preferred
Life70 mainframe processing experience a plus
1-2 years supervisory experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Word
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Project management and organizational skills
Technical professional knowledge and skills
Ability to give and receive coaching and feedback
