We are searching for a Field Service Technician to repair, maintain, install and remove brewing and serving equipment according to established company policies, procedures and standards.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesWith assistance from the Warehouse Manager or Field Service Supervisor, prioritizes and schedules service calls and installation/pick-up of equipment.
Drives company vehicle to customer site to perform required tasks.
With direction from customer and/or route salesperson, identifies proper placement of equipment.
Installs or removes equipment, utilizing plumbing and electrical skills where applicable.
Observes mechanical devices in operation and utilizes proper troubleshooting techniques to locate causes of trouble.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instrumentsRepairs or replaces defective parts.
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
Lubricates and cleans parts.
Starts devices to test their performance.
Perform preventive maintenance on devicesInitiates internal purchase order for parts and machines.
Responsible for maintenance of assigned vehicle, including but not limited to cleanliness, inspections, scheduled maintenance, etc.
Responsible for managing parts inventory.
Responsible for proper opening and closing of work orders, invoicing non-serialized equipment, issuing parts and placement and pick-up of caf equipment utilizing a handheld computer device.
Maintains bin of labeled defective parts and maintains warranty eligibilityIn the absence of a manager, investigates and reports damages caused by company owned equipment to customer propertyCompletes bench work orders as directed by supervisor.
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredThree to five years related experience in HVAC, electrical, or small appliance repairFamiliarity with electrical and mechanical fundamentals, requiredMust be at least 21 years of ageMust have an acceptable driving recordValid driver s license; A Commercial Driver s License (CDL) may be required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products Word Processing softwareUtilization of a handheld computer device is preferredKnowledge of SAP a plus.
Daily local travel in company vehicle; Limited or occasional overnight travel
