The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel.

In this role, you will be expected to do the following duties: Perform all stages of linen processing, including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers and chutes), ironing, folding, storing and delivering.

Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area.

Maintain linen inventory stock levels.

Alert management and maintenance of problems and issues concerning the upkeep of equipment and hotel.

Ensure that duties are performed in accordance with standard operating procedures in a safe, accident-free manner.

Handle and store all cleaning agents according to set regulations.

Complete closing duties which entail shutting down equipment at the end of the shift, preparing work area for next shift and securing work area as set per hotel regulations.

Performs special assignments and projects as requested.

For you to be the ideal candidate, you should have the following Knowledge of basic sanitation requirements/controls and applications of relevant chemicals.

Basic knowledge of a corporate policies applicable to the laundry operation, especially those relating to safety and security of guest and hotel property.

Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

Must be detail-oriented.

Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.

Must be energetic and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.

Ability to make decisions and follow established policies and procedures.

Must be able to work varying schedules that include evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.
