Sun, Fun,Year Around OVERVIEWAs a key member of the Chemicals Technology Team, the E&I Designer drives instrumentation and electrical asset reliability for Technology Department assets including DCS system and PLC/ graphics programs.

This also helps create new capabilities and process improvements through designing, troubleshooting, specifying, documenting and calibrating new and existing equipment.

The E&I Designer will develop detailed design packages that support the defined scope of work.

These designs include sufficient details to support construction activities for installation such as Loop Sheets, EFDs, Cable Schedules, Single Line Diagrams, Connection Diagrams, and equipment installations as necessary to ensure safe, operable and maintainable installations.

Reports to: Manager - Production Engineering, Pensacola IntermediatesTargeted Outcomes:Ensure electrical systems are properly designed and maintainedIntegrate with Tech Maintenance & Production staff to provide E&I supportMaintain Siemens PLC system in Technology LaboratoryKey Responsibilities:Support to Chemicals Technology Team to:Electrical and Instrumentation Design, Sizing, Cost Estimation, and Field RepairE&I Calibration of Flow, Pressure, Level, and Temperature DevicesPrograming of PLC, Siemens APACS I/O, and PCS7 System Graphics (Critical Experience Required)Drafting Responsible for 24 & 36 Drafting PlottersDocumentation: Annual System Interlock Checks, Interlock Checkout SPI s, DCS System I/O count, PLC Programs, DCS Programs, Graphics Program, and Pilot Plant Tag ListProvide efficient E&I designs utilizing computer aided software conforming to standardsWork with team to ensure designs are in compliance with the defined scope of workIdentify and resolve conflicts on new designs with existing infrastructuresMaintain Project Monitoring Worksheet which contains: Equipment Lists, Instrument Lists, drawing lists, etc on assigned projectsBe a resource for the team to locate and research information on existing drawingsField verify and ensure installations can be installed as designedWork multiple designs and respond to changing prioritiesMaintain required drawings from conceptual to as-built and transmit to the Master fileEnter requisitions for material purchases as requiredQualificationsRequired Experience:Minimum of 5 years design experience (EE Degree, or equivalent 4 year degree NOT REQUIRED )Ability to read and understand technical drawings and other documentation to translate into designed systemsDemonstrated programming experience with ability to learn (APACS I/O, (PCS7) system graphics) (Critical Requirement)Drafting & Preparation of Project Drawings, EFD s, P & ID s,Layouts, Schedules, Bill of Materials for Electrical and Instrumentation.

Includes Single Line diagrams, schematic diagrams, Power layout, Motor elementary, Lighting layouts, Cable routing, Grounding, Cable Tray routing and & support details, Installation details.

Prepare Instrument index, Instrument layout/location drawings, electrical equipment layouts, material take-offs, I/O lists, loop drawings and termination details, cable lists and block diagrams.

Prepare Cable / Panel / JB schedules, Lighting Calculations & Bill of Materials.

Effective communication skills to review design packages with Plant personnelEffectively coordinate with other disciplines to ensure a complete project design without inferences or deficienciesFamiliar with Electrical codes, equipment specifications, and various design standards such as OSHA, NEC, ISA, etc.

Lead design reviews with Maintenance, Operations, and Project team membersComfortable providing creative, alternative solutionsLead field reviews and walk downs with Stakeholders and ContractorsWorking knowledge of electrical and instrumentation groundingExperience with and ability to read power and control circuitsWorking knowledge in low voltage power system designWorking knowledge in instrumentation and control loop designFamiliar with Instrument specification sheetsExperience in field-work for locating and designing electrical equipment and instrumentation systemsEstimate E & I design man hours based on deliverables Preferred Skills:Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Effective computer skills including Microsoft Office and SAPExperience with Mircostation and other 3D modeling softwareExperience with Provox and/or Delta-V DCS systems.

Knowledge of PLCs and DCS systems Particularly APACS I/O and PCS7 System Graphics (Critical Requirement)Knowledgeable in Medium and / or high voltage systemsKnowledgeable in specific instrumentation
