OVERVIEWGeneral Mills is seeking a Bakery Training Technician to work on the In-Store Fresh team supporting Walmart bakeries primarily located in Gainesville, FL.
This is a home office based role with 50-60% travel where you will provide hands on product training in both one-on-one and seminar settings to Walmart Bakery associates.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESIn this role you will:Develop and deliver strategic training and demonstrations to drive in-store knowledge and ability in Walmart bakeriesDevelop and maintain excellent relationships with in-store and management and level customer operatorsMaintain optimum territory coverage patterns by training stores on a prescribed time (goal of 36 hours weekly) and frequency while maintaining updated and accurate recordsEffectively conduct hands on product training for bakery associates in a seminar type setting both large and small while working as a team with other suppliersConduct regular business reviews with Walmart regional managersAdditional duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma required; Culinary or Bakery training or Bachelor s degree preferred1-3 years previous experience within a bakery3-5 years baking, donut and cake decorating experience in a teaching settingTechnical baking, donut and cake decorating skills requiredAbility to train small groupsAbility to work in a home office environment and travel 50-60% (company car provided)Self-managed and results oriented Flexible and able to manage adversityStrong communication and influence skillsThis is not eligible for relocation assistance at this time.
