Job Summary.

The Insurance Agency Service Representative will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, processing policy changes and renewals, and being an overall advocate for the customer.

Essential Job Functions.

Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction, respond to inquiries, solicit further sales and work with internal and external partners to resolve any issues.

Adhere to call flows, sales/service processes, and ensure compliance regulations are met.

Present and explain recommended product solutions, including benefits, features, company services, operation processes; present alternatives as appropriate.

Handle call escalations in a manner consistent with First Call resolution and retention of the sale.

Be knowledgeable and able to discuss guidelines; advise customers of eligibility and rates as appropriate.

Generate referral business and cross-selling opportunities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Two years of relevant work experience in customer service or sales.

Currently hold a Florida Customer Representative (4-40) license or with support from GuideWell Insurance Agency obtain one within the first 30 days of employment.

Ability to handle high volume of calls and work in a fast paced and changing environment.

Ability to be objective, assertive and comfortable within a highly competitive department.

Ability to remain highly motivated.

Must be PC and Windows literate; possess the ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively and possess effective keyboarding skills.

Ability to overcome objections and solve problems independently.

Demonstrate basic mathematics skills.

Possess strong attention to detail and quality oriented skills.

Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.

Confident and positive attitude.

Must enjoy creative problem solving.

Ability to work flexible schedules (evenings, weekends, and holidays) Monday to Friday from 8 a.

m.

to 6:30 p.

m.

and occasional Saturdays from 8 a.

m.

to 6:30 p.

m.

to maintain a 40 hours work week.

Preferred Criteria.

Associate s degree or equivalent work experience.

Work experience in a customer service role.

Bilingual - Spanish.
